History of Pack 883

Cubscout Pack 883, sponsored by Saint Joseph's Catholic Community, was chartered in 1973.  Since that time hundreds of boys have learned to "Do Their Best" in cub scouting.  The Pack is composed of several dens of Tiger, Wolf, Bear and WEBELO scouts.  The dens are supported by adult volunteers.

Pack 883 is within the Carroll District. The district is one of many within the Baltimore Area Council.

While new scouts are usually recruited in September, boys may join the pack at any time.  The annual charter renewal for the pack occurs at the end of the calendar year. Registration fees are prorated on a monthly basis depending on when a boy joins the program.

Pack 883 also believes in giving back to the community.  Each year the Pack: participates in the Scouting for Food drive, collecting donations for Shepherds Staff to help those in need and also performs service projects for the community and for our sponsoring organization.

Training for adults is given through the Carroll District and is paid for by the Pack. The Pack also covers the costs for adult annual registration fees.
